As the title says,
I have a 16’ V6 3.7L Colorado. And I’ve been noticing this high pitch sorta metal grinding noise when idle or stopped. The noise comes after 20-30 minutes of driving and sometimes when I head to work of a drive of 2:30 hrs the high pitch noise is louder.
I’ve taken it to the dealership twice and they can’t recreate the noise somehow.
I’ve read on the forums that maybe it would be the water pump so I replaced it and still the noise is present.

My local mechanic says it could me tensioner or compressor but when I added WD40 on those pulleys still make those noise. It seems louder/more noticeable on the driver side as shown in the video.

I’m hoping someone In forums has had this same issue or is more mechanically inclined.

any help is greatly appreciated!!

Vids don't quite describe it
When you did the pump, did you replace the belt?
Spraying on the idler/tensioner pulley's, won't lubricate a bad bearing

Do you have 4x4? Sometimes there's the issue of the front drive shaft moving on its own and it causes a squeaky noise that you hear when stopped. You just have to get under there and spray some WD-40 on the front drive shaft transfer case seal. There are write ups in here about it.

That squeak is when driving at low speeds, it wouldn't make any noise when stopped since it wouldn't be spinning.
