Posting this in the diesel forum because I think it is relevant to having a diesel twin. Mods - if I am wrong, let me know for next time.
My son's 2013 Toyota Hylander is broken down. I can fix it but need to get it 10 miles back to my house. U-Haul won't let me rent a tow dolly saying my truck ('17 diesel 4x4 with factory tow) is not approved to tow a car. So they won't allow me. Do they not think a 7,700 lb towing capacity is enough? Am I wrong? Yes, they have the right to refuse me so not looking to fight them over it. Just do business elsewhere.
Anyone know of other dolly rental places that don't have such strict rules? Internet searches all lead me to U-Haul. And no, a pipe covered chain is not an option that I am comfortable with.
