This red is definitely a lot better than other reds Chevy has used in the past. Not too light or too bright. Kind of wish it was a metallic though so you could see the metallic fleck in it sparkle in the sunlight but you guys with the new red Colorado's have a nice paint scheme going on!

Just picked mine up last week
Had to get color to match my bike !!

 

Added ZR2 wheels with Nitto Ridge Grapplers 295/70/17 on stock suspension

 

No rubbing on stock? Figured you’d need atleast the 2/1 lift kit

 

Still puts a smile on my face every time I walk into the garage

Does anyone know what color the base coat is on this paint? Silver? The old-school "Candy Apple Red" was a silver base coat and red-tinted clear coat. I wonder if this is something similar.

 

I bought the kit from touchupdirect.com to paint my front fascia, rear bumper, and side mirrors. That kit had a bright red basecoat, a darker translucent red midcoat, and clear topcoat. Here's a pic of the basecoat....

And this is after the translucent red midcoat anf clear topcoat.

 

Here's mine, added front window tint, bed cover, bed mat, running boards...
