My ZR2 was delivered to the dealership either yesterday or today. I will take delivery next week sometime, after the dealer installed items are added. Can‘t wait to have it in the driveway.

The Red on these trucks really does pop! But why is it $495 extra on the Colorado? Glacier Blue is $395 extra? Is the paint job really that different? An even bigger question I have is: why is every GMC Canyon color (except Summit White) cost extra on the Sticker? Could someone who knows something enlighten me?

I can do that! I honestly did not intend to buy a red one, even though I liked it best. But I'm.... frugal. Some might say cheap, and I wasn't willing to pay the extra money Chevrolet charges for red. But then this truck showed up, and they're still pretty hard to find, at least in Minnesota. It has lots of other options that I didn't HAVE to have... like the 20 inch wheels, factory remote start, bedliner, black out emblems, all weather mats, safety and tech packages. But I sure like it. The few-frills nature of the Trail Boss appeals to someone who's... frugal. Like me.

I had a great experience at Rosedale Chevrolet in Roseville, Minnesota. Talk to Dewey. He's a great guy!

I looked VERY closely at my hood and the rest of the truck, and I just don't see any dirt in the paint. I read about that here on the forum. Maybe I'll see something when I first wax it.

The fit and finish on this '24 is very good. I'm almost 67, and I've owned a lot of cars and trucks in my life. I'm only two days and 240 miles into this truck, but it looks like a great choice so far. Now I'll just add my side bars/steps, bed cover, Rokblokz mud flaps and LED conversion and I'm set.

I'm waiting on my dealership to get an allocation for my 24 Z71. My first choice for paint color is the Harvest Bronze Metallic but I needed a second choice in case it gets built out for the year by the time I get my allocation. I was going to go with the Sand Dune Metallic but after seeing a couple in person I think it might be a little too light for me. Seeing your red Colorado just might change my mind to choosing red as my second choice!

I've already owned 4 black vehicles - 97 Pontiac Grand Am GT, 18 Colorado Midnight edition, 22 Colorado ZR2, 24 Camaro 3LT RS. I also had a 2012 burgundy Colorado, which wasn't a bad color at the time either, not too bright, not too dull. It's time to change it up though after 3 black vehicles in a row! :giggle:
