I have a 23 Canyon AT4 that’s been at the dealership twice for rattles.

The rattles seem to be from the air vents or maybe the speaker grilles like you mentioned.
So far the dealer replaced the passenger side air vent and that fixed one rattle. Now we are waiting on the driver side vent.

However I hear at least two other distinct rattles in the cab. Not sure if it’s worth having the truck torn apart over some slight discomfort.

Just took my AT4 in for its first oil change and had the dealership look at few minor problems, one being a bad speaker rattle I swore was coming from the door trim. Turns out the driver side door speaker (bose) had failed. The advisor who called me didn’t go Into detail, but said something inside the speaker was broken and it wasn‘t the door panel causing the rattle. They’re covering it under warranty. Might be worth while looking into And hope you get your rattle sorted out sooner than later.

The vents on both the Colorado and canyon are badly designed. They are multiple pieces of plastic clipped together which create all sorts of noise… You can lubricate it, and add foam to stop it but it’s a PITA. There are numerous trim pieces like this on the truck that are just poorly put together or not glued correctly.

But even the dash itself is still poorly fitted. I can move the entire top plastic of the dash several mm and this seems to be a giant contributor to noise. I have not found a way to fix this yet. There is simply too much overhanging plastic that should have foam or a fastener and so half the dash is just ******* sitting in the air.

Even the doors are bad. Their rubber gasket piece is not fitted correctly so any movement will create a popping sound.

The clip for the door cable is too loose and rattles.

The pretensioners rattle which seems to plague every vehicle but hey let’s just add one more thing.

You nailed the complaints I have with the interior of the Canyon!

The doors creak when you close them from inside. The dash, and in particular what seems to me the air vents, rattle at the slightest road imperfection.

Good to know others are noticing these issues.

My 2001 ZR2 Blazer had a clunk and rattle under big bumps for 10 years. Finally found an alignment/assembly fixture that was left in a cavity behind one of the rear compartment panels. No help to you, but thought it was semi-amusing. I imagine the assembler was looking around his work station like "where the hell is that alignment fixture, I just used it"

My Z71 has rattles coming from the door. When I first got it, it would rattle over bumps, dips, and bass. The dealer took apart the door and said screws were loose and tightened those. That fixed the issue with bumps and dips. However it still rattles under bass heavy music.
