Should just pull straight out. Get a trim tool in there and it should pop out.

Disclaimer: the seat heater buttons, like all the buttons/switches are controlled by the BCM. You may get to the point where it just doesn't work because it is not programmed to activate those switches, and a trip to the dealer will be required.

In your experience do you think the dealer will give me a problem flashing the BCM? I’ve read a couple horror stories.
I do hope the wires for the buttons are in the dash. Looked them up and what I found was one was like $11, the other $170 for some reason!

There is a on line service manual for wiring and connector diagram. Remember the first step is to look at the BCM module to see if any wiring from switch to seats

There is a emanualonline.com with a 2019 Colorado/canyon electrician service manual. It breakers down connectors wiring and BCM modules. It shows pins to order, location to insert them into.
