S&B Cold Air Intake - Performance testing Flowbench & Dyno testing

Exhaust and Intake are still a great combo for bolt-on power on late-model engines. While the OEMs are doing much better with design they still typically leave a few horsepower on the table due to NVH (Noise / Vibration / Harmonics) compromises made for the average consumer. With the majority of performance consumers welcoming some more engine feedback there lies a bit of opportunity.

As part of phase I of my build I incorporated an S&B Filters cold air intake to breath a little more freely and complement the upcoming MagnaFlow Overland Series exhaust. Before the exhaust goes on its a good time to baseline the truck and see just how much is on the table from a good CAI.

First up is the unboxing and then a trip to the flow bench followed by some work on the dyno to see what kind of power the improved airflow makes on the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison.
