Hey all, I'm trying to find a solution that would allow me to have both a tonneau cover and a roof or ladder rack without totally breaking the bank. Essentially, the goal is to be able to get my kayak above the roof of the truck and have a dry place to keep all my camping gear in the bed still. The ladder rack would be preferable in my mind to have extra space for additional gear, but again, hoping to keep it under $2000 if possible. I already have a cheaper tonneau on there that I'd likely try to sell on Craigslist, because there's no way it'll work with racks of any kind.
I've heard the Retrax covers can work with Thule rack systems, but I haven't seen that mentioned on any of the actual products. Does anyone have experience doing a tonneau/ roof rack combo, and can you tell me what combo of products you used? Thanks!
