Replace Tailgate Cap?

My bed caps and tailgate cap came factory installed. No problems with them except that I cosmetically damaged the tailgate cap a while back.

Has anyone ever removed the factory installed tailgate cap? Is it easy to replace? Not sure if it is worth my time, it's a truck, but I just want to know.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I tore mine up pretty good recently, was wondering what it would take to replace. Hopefully 6 years later there's some more 2nd gen experience in the forum.

If you are buying a new gate cover look at the spoiler style that GMPP offers.

Does the texture on your GMPP spoiler match the caps on your bedsides or is it different/smooth?

I replaced mine with the spoiler also. It looks the same as the rails.

And does it go on via adhesive or clips?
