Surprised how much more stuff (dirt & pollen) is in the cabin filter vs the engine air filter. I change both much more often than the owners manual service interval indicates. Most recently used the Bosch HEPA cabin filter. We do have a lot of pollen around here, but given relative flow volumes, and the fact we park in a garage I don't quite get why there is so much more stuff in the cabin filter vs engine air filter at the same ~10k miles interval.

Regarding clean vs dirty side, my clean side is "clean" on a used cabin filter.
