Sorry to hear about your trouble, glad you made it back home without needing a tow, though. I told someone on here a while back about NexGen and they told me that they were not a reputable company. Where they got their information from, I have no idea. I looked for some reviews but could only find a couple. If it were me, I’d probably lean toward Revmax too. Good luck, man.

Pulling the transmission and transfer case without a lift and transmission jack not only sounds unsafe to me but also maybe not the smartest idea. When you least expect him, Murphy shows up.

UPDATE: Torque converter arrived today, well packaged and looks good from the outside. I drop my truck off at the trans shop on Monday and it may be a week or so before it gets done as he has a bunch of jobs ahead of me but also has times where he's waiting on parts and can't complete them, so he's going to work on my truck when he's got windows between jobs he can complete.
Great news! Does the new torque converter look awesome?

It looks like a torque converter. :D Billet cover, all painted black, and the welds look good. Nothing to write home about.
I was hoping that when you opened the box that you could hear angels singing in the background and the light was just dancing off of multiple facets of billet aluminum. Like an automotive art piece.

Aaaaaand I have my truck back! TCC engages firmly but doesn't slam the driveline, temps are still nice and cool, and now I have the "triple disc rattle" when idling in Park or Neutral so there can be no doubt that one has been installed. haha

Otherwise...nothing really to report other than I'm super happy to have my truck back and ready to tow again. We're going to do at least one or two good tows before we head to Oregon in October but I don't expect there to be any issues.
Great news! I know you’re happy to have that in back of you! Now your transmission is even better than brand new. Looking forward to hearing about performance/driving differences. If mine lasts forever (or as long as I do at least) I won’t be disappointed but if it doesn’t I’ll have an idea about what options to choose. (It’s all about me!😂)
