LED extra backup lights

So I wasn't satisfied with stock back up lights and a friend recommended these lights, installed them using a stainless steel clamp along a tube for the hitch so I can slide it along as necessary versus screwing it into a fixed position.

I first tested the trailer wiring to ensure it would work, then I identified the positive and negative wire from the harness.

The photos below speak for themselves, but feel free to ask any questions, also before I forget this was for my 2017 midnight edition.

Nicely done. I did something similar with an old pair of Rigids I had lying around.

I was able to use an existing mounting bolt so it was easy.

I tapped into the cargo light circuit so I can use them when I'm parked. I like your idea of them being adjustable. Nice job.

So all these look fine on your personal phones/recorders but how do they help on the truck's camera and MyLink view?

Havent seen anyone do a before and after of anything that helps the backup camera/MyLink backing up at night :serious:

Ill get some pics tonight. For me its a double edged sword. The lights a bright enough to wash out whatever night vision the camera has built in. But you have way more light directly before then before. Ill try to get some tonight.
