I installed my head unit this weekend and I knew it was too easy. I have the unity in and it sounds great but the only problem is that the outer ring trim piece that goes around the cd player will not go on. The problem seems to be that the sides of the trim piece will not fit into the cut out for the radio on the dash. I was looking at other peoples installs and the trim piece looks like a snug fit there also. Did anyone else have to trim to make this fit?

The kit is right becuause it even listed instruction for the colorado in it. The problem is the trim around it does not fit in the space of the silver shroud. It is about 1/16 to big. I read about another guy that had the same problem but with a different HU but there was no replies.

I am running a pannasonic HU and it was the actual trim itself not the dash adapter. I shaved and edge off of this since it would be easy to get a new one if I messed up. You cant really tell that it was modified so Im happy with it. Thanks
