I was at America's Tire today getting some Geolandars installed on our CRV and I saw the new Wrangler UltraTerrain in person. It's a damn good looking tire! It feels pretty robust and looks like good competition for the BFG KO2 and Wildpeak AT3W. The tread blocks are aggressive but spaced tighter than the Duratrac but wider than the KO2 from what I can tell. The pricing is appropriate for the class. They run about $15/ea more than the Wildpeak AT3W (E 285/70/17) $229 vs. $215 and $245 for the KO2.
In the popular P265/70/17 they run $184. Or $195 for the LT265/70/17.
The model is a DT exclusive like the Cooper ATP which is another great tire if a bit noisy.
Who's going to be the guinea pig? :grin2:
