I'm thinking about it, have to get the truck first.
2 possible ways I can see going: Getting a Z71 so stock with the dark gray grill, I could see adding this; I have always like blue bowties, it looks like the border of this lights up in blue.
OR I have also thought of a body colored grill, truck will be Brownstone, and I think the stock gold bowtie looks fine on Brownstone, so i would skip the lighted bowtie.

 

I don't think the tailgate emblem is illuminated, only the grille emblem. Look at the description closely.

I de-badged my Colorado today and I like the look. If GM wants to send me $325 I'll consider putting them back on. In the mean time it's fun to look at what I could spell with all those letters...

i don't believe its all that visible when your headlights are on
and any other time its just a bowtie...what would be the point?

It is definitely visible at night with the headlights on.

(based on my experience with the illuminated bow tie for the camaro)

Those black bow ties with the lights are awesome looking. We actually sell these logos here at my shop

... people love them. And they come in multiple colors

 

I'd like the gold version, which is apparently available. I still would love to see one on our trucks first though.
