Fuel Filter Micron Ratings

I know this has been discussed in the past, but I'm looking to put together this thread for any concrete info that anyone has, for micron ratings on the diesel fuel filters.

@DieselDrax @Duken4evr - I know you guys have discussed this before curious if you have found any new info.

WIX - WF10226 (No listing)
GM GENUINE - TP1007 (No listing) Same as AC DELCO 52100212
DOC'S - DGF418 - 3 Micron rating with 99.7% Efficiency rating (Doc's website)

Curious if their is any data that shows one brand is better than the other. So far Doc's is the only listed data I've been able to find.
I haven't done any additional research recently, the most recent was when I looked into Doc's filters/website and noticed discrepancies in data, for example the same micron rating is shown for different filters that are a totally different design. I then dug into some of the reports they published and noticed the micron rating listed on the product page doesn't match the rating shown in the report. Add all that up and it was enough to convince me that Doc's claims can't be trusted. Doc's also doesn't make their own filters, the filters for the 2.8 are made by Premium Guard. That said, Doc's filters are cheaper than the same filters in Premium Guard packaging.

The filter media is different than OEM, whether or not it's better or worse I don't know but I still have some ACDelco filters sitting in the garage that I need to consume before I buy more. I just wish we had verifiable, trusted data for fuel filters that aren't supplied by the people trying to sell the filters that they don't even make themselves...
