Everyone seems to have their favorite. I've been using Red Line since the 80's in fleet vehicles as well as my personal vehicles and so far have never suffered a fuel system related failure on any of these vehicles. The only improvement in mileage I've ever seen was on my Jetta TDI and that was only about 1 mpg at best. I have seen no improvement on the 2018 Colorado. Right out of the gate the best the truck has achieved is 24 mpg on the highway. Normally runs between 21.5 - 23.5 under all conditions, i.e. empty (well, still loaded with all manner of items in the Decked system) or pulling 1000 lb trailer. The price point for the Red Line is right in that sweet spot of $0.10 - $0.15 / gallon (depending on sale prices) like most of the other additives. My guess is, no matter what product you put in there, it's cheap insurance against the low sulfur fuels we get these days.
