Colorado "great", Traverse "fail"
When the factory jump-started my truck after it sat for 2 months, they broke the battery cover in the process and delivered it to the dealer that way ... same old "let the dealer fix it" mentality, some things never change.
The dealer ordered a replacement cover, and I took the truck in today to get it replaced. Thinking it was a 5 minute, the service manager told me they'd fix it while I waited. A couple minutes later, the service person came back and told me it was a 2+ hour job as it involved also changing the fuse block??? Somehow the battery cover is integrated with the fuse block as one part. They told me they'd need to keep it overnight and set me up with a loaner to drive home.
They gave me a new Traverse AWD with 49 miles on the clock, fairly-well decked out in leather with all the bells and whistles ... easily $40K+ vehicle. About half-way home, the Traverse started to vibrate, shudder, and buck like a bronco. I pulled over figuring one of the wheels was coming off or worse. Everything looked fine though. I eased it back on the road, and it was ok at slow speed for a little while, then started to shake again, this time with dash warning lights flashing and chimes "dinging". I think either the AWD system, the transmission, or stabilitrack was going nuts ... probably just a matter of time before something grenaded and left me stranded.
I limped home with it, then called the dealer to come pick it up. They apologized and said they'd bring another vehicle .. I told them "no" ... I didn't need any more drama and my old Saturn would at least get me to work in the morning, no telling what I'd get stuck with next.
As for the Traverse loaner, the dealer guys came to pick it up about an hour later. The guy seemed slow to get it moving, but eventually made it out to the road ... I hope his buddy in the service truck wasn't too far away.
As for the Colorado, I'm loving it, except for the battery cover that Wentzville broke, it's been flawless (so far). I'm just hoping the dealer doesn't break something else in the process of the fix.
