Colorado vs Canyon? What did you get? And why?

The reason Colorados outsell Canyons in general, is the price, pure and simple. It’s the same with full sized Silverados, and has been for years.

Ford loves to brag that the F150 is the best selling truck in America, which is technically true, but look at the numbers and if you add silverados and sierras together, they actually outsell ford.

I personally bought a Colorado, partly based on price, but mostly because of timing, when I was ready to purchase, canyons just weren’t available yet.

I love both, and both have some unique charms from one another. Personally prefer to aggressive hood on the Chevy, but I could see how someone else could equally prefer the looks of the GMC.

En masse, I think the perception is the GMC (full size or mid) is a dressed up version of the same truck. And because it’s a truck, a lot of folks are fine with the tshirt and jeans Chevy vs. a potentially nicer trimmed “suit version” GMC.

I’m glad they offer both, next time I may go Canyon if I’ve got some spare change lying around. Great choice either which way you go!

Went with the Colorado because really, it was the only one in my area at the time a year ago. '24 Black Trail Boss. I do like the look of the Colorados more than the Canyons also. Absolutely loved the truck but after 4 or 5 months it's developed the worst sound on the highway imaginable coming from either the engine or tranny. GM is stumped and told me there's nothing more they can do and my best bet is for something to break. Still love the truck and the sisters are the best looking ones on the market right now in my opinion but I'm looking forward to getting rid of it.
Sorry to hear about the sound. Are you certain it’s the engine or the tranny? Reason I ask is mine developed a sounds as well, got noticeably worse at highway speeds (60ish) and then faded a bit at 70 plus. Ended up being the rear differential, Chevy/GM replaced it under warranty and it’s quiet now.
