I've noticed that most people here seem to have bought a Colorado.
I got a brand new Canyon, a 2024. Ive done some research and it seems there are three times more Colorados bought than Canyons. I'm curious to know what everyone bought and what factors led to that decision.
I bought a Canyon Elevation because I did a search on cars.com and found the cheapest truck with certain features I was looking for, one of which was heated seats and one is that I love red trucks. Especially these Colorado/Canyon trucks. They just look awesome to me.
I also drove around that weekend and looked at different dealers in town too and the Colorado's always seemed out of my price range.
Most of the Canyons did too.
On Monday morning I contacted the dealer that had the truck I bought and we began to negotiate. Basically it ended up being a discussion on how much I'd get for my trade in because the price of the Canyon wasn't really going to come down. I didn't want to push it because it was already the cheapest one of these twin trucks I could find and I didn't really want to buy anthing else after looking and comparing over 20 trucks, different makes and models, that I found for sale online. If I couldn't get one of these I would have probably ended up with another Nissan Frontier, which are good trucks. But I really wanted a Canyon/Colorado.
So, for me, the features that sold me was:
In truth, I wanted one of these twin trucks over any other make/model.
I'm addicted to the color red I guess and these volcanic red trucks are beautiful
Heated seats
All for a price I was willing to pay
I was surprised to learn AFTER I bought my truck that the GMCs, were supposed to be a little nicer mainly due to the interior and the standard engine. But when I looked around I would have thought otherwise when comparing the prices I was seeing.
