Brake fluid change - push or pull?

Hey hey! ALWAYS go furthest to closest. Also, on these newer ABS systems it’s always better to PULL as opposed to pushing. Reason being is that pushing has a higher likelihood of pulling air into the system. With how tight system tolerances are these days, especially in ABS components like solenoids, air getting trapped is a very real possibility. Then it’s off to GM to hook it up to the tool to cycle the ABS system while purging the air. Hope you’ve got a good balance on your checking account. By pulling there is almost zero risk of getting air in unless your run the reservoir out of fluid or do t close the bleeder properly. At the end of the day, it’s your choice to make. I use a setup that connects to the bleeder and runs off shop air. I can get a system done in about twenty minutes at most. A hand vacuum pump works just as good but longer. Finally, a flush and fill is no good if you cheap out on fluid. Bosch makes an EXCELLENT fluid I use in my customers heavy truck that have hydro brakes and my personal vehicles. The pedal response, feel and boil resistance is phenomenal. Its their ESI6-32N Product. It’s expensive no doubt but Bosch makes top notch products. One can should be plenty but buy two just in case. Worse thing is you don’t use it and have it next time.
