Another turbo bites the dust

Curious if the 'new' part number turbo is as susceptible as the old one. I'm on my 2nd turbo, myself.
I'm on my 3rd turbo @~78000 miles.
2016 Stock.
The original turbo was replaced under warranty, no cost to me.
2nd turbo suffered a bent fin about a year ago. GM covered 1/3 of the cost even though I was past the 2 year warranty. My cost $2000. When initially diagnosed the warehouse in Chicago had 18 turbos in stock and my rig was scheduled for repair the next day.
A call from my dealer that day stated all turbos in the Chicago warehouse were no longer available due to a new part # being released.
I waited another 4 weeks for the new part # turbo to be available.
I'm running the new part# turbo now, so far so good, but, only a year old. My dealer had no info on the change... just a new part#
Do either of you have a catch can ?

I'm not even looking at anything GM "produces/procures" anymore. If an item fails, I put whatever I can find to be bomb proof in place.
Would a provent200 work for you ?

I spoke to them about being a guinea pig on a heated version, but it really doesn't work for my application. I am just going to delete the ccv.... call it rust prevention.
That's definitely an option. I hope you aren't venting it to road or frame... but I know people do, sadly.

If you were so inclined, the heated sheets used for transmissions or the like could probably be wrapped around the provent.

If you were really inclined, you could productize it. Lol

Nope, no catch can...all stock. Just an fyi, when I heard the "whining" when accelerating both times I was in town going ~30 mph when it started. There were no ice storms I recall, no powering through a snow storm or anything of the sort prior.
Thanks for answering ! Just collecting data to inform my opinion/recommendation.

Even then, correlation does not necessarily infer causation and merely points to an association between variables
