The one from the Cadillac has that flat piece that may be able to be modified to make a smaller engine cover to cover up the top of the intake on the engine if a fella could figure out a way to have 3 to 4 bolt on points so it would be secure.

The Cadillac could be ground off and a Bowtie decal could go right there... of course messin with that would be a side bar.

 

Buy this and be done with it.

I like the look of the S&B intake. I once saw where someone modified the engine cover (cut out the tubing underneath) to refit it on top of the S&B. Looked good. But honestly to me it’s just not worth the effort. The stock air box with a drop in dry filter is sufficient for me at sea level with a trifecta tune.

If you are looking to snag one of them used, I'd check car-part.com for something silly like a fender or hood off the year/make/model that has the one you want. That will give you a listing of local salvage yards that you can probably drive to and get the part for a low cost since it's used. Hope that helps the quest.

The throttle bodies on 2015-2016 v6 trucks is closer to the stock air box than the 2017-2022

Yep, that's why I want to retain the stock air box so I can use a a dry K&N Air Filter

I run my own business and don't have a lot of time to be out driving around... I did think about that, but I also remembered how trying to chase down parts at wrecking yards if often time a crap shoot when they show to have the part, I call, they say "we got it, come one down", and when I get their they ain't got it

Many of these sellers on eBaby allow returns and some even pay for return shipping, so even though it's time consuming, it's not going to be that expensive to try out different OEM air tubes from other GM vehicles.

Once find one that fits nice and looks decent, I'll post details about which vehicle it is off of along with some pics of the install in case any of the trash can lid delete crowd wants to grab one for their ride.
