Add a leaf on top of an add a leaf

If you want a lift then you need to do something that moves the axle lower. Adding leafs to a spring-under setup doesn't add lift. AALs add lift with spring-over setups by adding height between the axle and chassis.

If you want to lift your SUA setup then you need to look at doing a shackle lift, spring-over conversion, or install new leaf packs that add height due to having more arch.

My previous set of leaves had an add a leaf and that gave it lift. I destroyed those ones though. And those were replacing the originals, which I also destroyed. These leaves with the "add a leaf" are brand new. The previously mentioned set and their aals were also installed at the same time .
So I guess another AAL that bends won't do anything.
It was the leaf pack that added the lift, not the AAL. The only thing an AAL does with SUA suspension is reduce sag caused by load put on the truck, they will never add lift because the AALs do absolutely nothing to increase the distance between the axle and the chassis. As I said above, the only way to lift a vehicle with an SUA setup is to do a shackle lift, SOA conversion, or install aftermarket leaf packs that provide the correct amount of lift that you need/want.

AALs with the 2nd gen trucks add lift because our trucks are SOA already, the AAL works similar to a lift block. Adding a block to the top of the leaf pack of an SUA truck like yours does the opposite, it lowers the truck by raising the axle closer to the chassis. The AAL doesn't raise or lower your truck because it's added to the bottom of the leaf pack to help reduce sag but doesn't raise the axle higher than its stock position.

Ok plan b it is. I guess the previous set were the heavy duty ones, that were destroyed by me. How about longer shackle + leaf spring helper?
If you're happy with the ride and just want a slight lift then the shackle lift will be the easiest and cheapest way to go. Keep in mind that you will get half of the difference between the original shackle and new shackle length in lift. For example, if you add a shackle that is 3 inches longer than the old shackles then you will get 1.5 inches of lift.
