Fix for ABS codes C0035 Drivers Side, C0040 Passenger Side. Reluctor damage around bearing results in speed sensor flagging code.
Purchase the following;
Hub Bearing Assembly 84681709
Axle Nut 11609826
4 Bolts (optional but recommended) 89060205
Remove wheel.
Remove Caliper bolts (18mm) and spray 4 bearing hub assembly bolts to help loosen
Remove speed sensor with torx bit.
Remove brake rotor T30 torx (will most likely have to drill out bolt 11609271)
Remove 4 bolts (13mm) from behind knuckle. This is the hardest part as a standard socket and wrench will not fit because of axle housing. Suggest turning steering wheel and using short extension with socket or closed wrench. Tap axle in with wood block shifting it off the knuckle as you go. This axle assembly shifts inward slightly.
Clean inside of knuckle bore and grease then install new bolts through backside.
130NM for new hub bearing assembly bolts (89060205)
Install rotor and caliper (59 ftlbs) first to help keep rotor from turning stick screwdriver between the double layers of the rotor.
Install new axle nut (35mm) torque to 192 ftlbs.
Install wheel. Drive gently until code clears by itself.
