well, I started my truck today after work at 8 am and noticed that I still had it in 4hi and went to change it into 2wd and it never engaged or anything.... it sat there and blinked at me... the whole way home.... anyone know what it could possibly mean? I figured that it might have been too cold for it to shift and drove around a bit to warm everything up, but it still blinked at me. I'm back at home and the damn thing has been blinking for about an hour now. It's not all the lights, just which ever one you're trying to engage. I.E. 2wd--->4wd, the 4wd blinks. 4wd back to 2wd, the 2wd blinks. If anybody has had this happen please fill me in.

It could be many things dash switch/accuator on the t-case/vacume line ect ect. Best bet is to bring it to chevy and let them fix it.

This just happened to my mom today. There's 2" of ice on the road, 4x4 won't help much, but it would help a little.

I'm currently checking it out to see what the hell is the problem.

Ok... I just figured this one out... On hers, I put it into neutral (on the column, not the transfer case), put the selector into 2HI, then 4HI then 2HI, then 4HI, and then I rocked in the truck (like a doggy style sexual motion, for lack of a better way to describe it), and it engaged.

I tried engaging it that way, but the damn thing just didn't wanna go. I took it to the dealer right away and as soon as I got there, the damn thing fixed itself. Stupid thing... anyways the dealer went to scan it and found no codes and told me nothing was wrong and sent me off on my way.
