About all you can do it put a thick cable through it and invest in a good lock. Most locks can be defeated in well under a minute. Check out high security locks. Or just leave it at home unless traveling or wheeling offroad.

If someone is bent on stealing it & a professional, not much your gonna do. As a retired LEO, I have seen a professional steal a vehicle with 3 different safeguards and a battery shutoff switch, in under a minute.

The key is to make it undesirable and time consuming and noisy to steal. Cameras help and so do bright lights. Then they will probably move on to an easier target.
But the first rule is: out of sight, out of mind.

When the kids were young and we went camping, we had 4 mtbs and each one was expensive. So I bought a 15' coated security cable and a good high security lock. Also bought a $10 motion alarm from HF. It worked. It went off 1 night and I opened the door to see 2 people running away.
