Not sure if anyone has experienced this same problem yet but I just had this pop up a few days ago on my new Colorado Trail Boss. I have quite a hilly commute to work, so I like to use the “Manual” or “Limit” gear to shift as much by myself as possible.
While traveling down the biggest hill in our area, I was in L5 and got close to the bottom of the hill; when I get close to the bottom I like to coast all the way to the stop sign so I attempted to shift it up with the + to L6. It did the opposite and shifted to L4 while pressing the +. I thought it was possibly my fault at first, maybe the fat thumb hit the -, very possible. So I made sure I pressed the + for the next shift, and it downshifted to L3. It got down to L2 after the final push of the + and I had to click it back into Drive to shift back up.
I’ve attempted to recreate it many times since the other day, and it will not do it again. No Bulletins at Chevy for the problem, so nothing they can do for it yet. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this problem. Figured I’d at least put it out there cause I haven’t seen this issue anywhere yet.
