It almost came away clean and no-nonsense, but then they have to throw this Silverado-esque mess on it. It's not ruined, but it could look better. Nice, square-jawed design overall. Makes the Ranger look girly.

 

Had the pleasure of seeing one in-the-flesh the other day...not too shabby. Loved my former 2001 Frontier so sure this one's going to appeal to some as well.

 

The Ford is a complete disappointment. It was like all they had was the Dollar Tree diecast mold left over from some random 90s pickup and stamped out a truck with no personality.

The powerplant is great but looks wise?

 

Nissan is notorious for stealing other manufacturers design elements.
Design cues from Tacoma, F150, and the GM truck siblings are evident.
Nissan, its called being creative and innovative.

 

New FRONTIERS hitting the lot/

Finally hitting the local lot. Mostly SV's at this point. Took a look see yesterday. Did not drive one, but sat in one. They did a great job on the interior. The trims will be S,SV, PRO and PRO 4X. The PRO replaces the desert runner. 2WD only. The PRO 4X comes in at about 46K loaded. Really...

I think they look pretty good, I saw one with a small lift and thought it really had potential.....I was a huge fan of the Titan and wanted one when they started offering the cummins, but the interior was lacking, it was just a little to out dated for me......Im glad to see an updated info center in this truck....I think it really helps...

 

I test drive one a pro 4x and it drove good. That suspension soaked up the bumps and pot holes. The steering was harder to turn and the rear seats were very uncomfortable. I love my Colorado crew cab so much better.

There's not a truck made I wouldn't buy based on what it looks like. There are a lot of trucks I wouldn't buy based on their capabilities.

Outside the truck world it's even worse. People buy known POS just because they look aerodynamic and sporty.

 

Saw one close up the other day, did a double take, thought it looked pretty sharp. Is the drivetrain new or is it the same decade old drivetrain slapped in a new body?

 

the drive train was update slowly, then the whole new truck was added to it
transmission is 2019 the motor came out in 2020, then the whole update was finished this last year. I saw one a couple days ago,and went meh.... dull gray, maybe in a different color.

 

If I had a Nissan dealership closer than an hour and a half away, I'd be driving one. Main complaint I have is the lack of telescoping steering wheel. Wish I could have gotten into a Pro-4X (or waited for the 2023s), but such is life lol.

I have a coworker with a new base model frontier that looks pretty sharp, even with steelies.
