What is a P switch? Do you know where it is and if it would work intermittently? Thank you for the suggestion!

I stand corrected.

I played around with it a bit today.

The P switch turns off the beeper for proximity. So if something is close. You won't hear or see it.
PARK ASSIST

In the lower left corner of the camera screen. Are 2 buttons. The left is grid. Make sure it's lit up. The right is tow. It shows a straight line to the trailer hitch you're hooking up to.

Both buttons have a horizontal light above each one. To indicate which one is on.

I put a wool hat over my sensor. Not that it mattered since my truck automatically thinks it's night everytime I leave work. Which is the opposite direction of the sun.

The grid still worked.
