Hi new to the community here. I have a 2018 ZR2 with the 3.6L 8 speed trans with 80,000ish miles. I recently was out running errands and on the way home on a right hand turn the truck truck started clunking and loosing power. The service stability trac warning came on. There were no other previous warning like overheating, low oil.

Had it towed to my mechanic and the motor won't spin manually forward or reverse. Code p0300 misfire. It had mis fires on the even number cylinders with #6 having the most. It's internal and needs replacement.

Anyone else have this happen? My mechanic is a Jasper certified installer and they don't have it. Any suggestions or help is appreciated. Thank you

Sounds like you both have suffered like 1 other member has on this Forum
Oil on 1 side of the Engine had a issue
That member 1 Side looked great.. The other side looked like old dark golden oil residue

The AFM in the V6 is not like the V8's
Almost no failures
Locking up most likely is due to Oil Starvation in 1 of Banks

Jasper doesn't have 2017 and up reman 3.6L engines?

That sounds really odd seeing how many of these 3.6L engines are on the road.

Until now...

Just because there aren't any reports of widespread failure does not mean there aren't a lot of failures going on due to AFM

One would have to inspect every trashed engine to determine the cause of it's demise which nobody is doing so saying there almost no failures caused by AFM is just speculation.

The fact of the matter is AFM is just more crap to cause problems and no ICE actually needs AFM. It's just more garbage brought forth by the love mutha earth hippies that's screwing up modern engines due to the "climate change" scam

By the way.... if anybody needs some carbon credits, just send me your cash and I'll put you down for owning your own carbon credits

The LGZ is not prone to Engine Failure
So, the ones that Jasper and Other ReMan companies would get their from would be mostly from wrecked vehicles.

What is most likely what did these 2 LGZ Engines in is what did another LGZ in on this Forum
A lack of Oil to 1 of the Banks of the Engine
It appeared to be a bad oil return on that one
The 1 Bank was Clean and the Other had that Glazed Burnt Oil Look

The AFM in the LGZ is nothing like that in the V8's
At some point you will have to realize the facts
