my 16 colorado with the duramax died multiple times last night i got a p0526 and p0628 and this morning a u0077-00. i noticed altenator making a sound like something was loose inside. voltage when driving is 12v then shoots up to 14 for a second then back to 12. if the altenator is bad could this cause it to throw codes like those? and voltage should be around 14 correct?

P0526 stands for “Cooling Fan Speed Sensor Circuit.” A vehicle's cooling fan speed sensor monitors the cooling fan's condition during operation. It monitors if the fan speed recommended by the PCM matches the actual movement of the fan

The most common repairs performed to fix a P0628 code include:
  1. Repairing or replacing a defective or damaged fuel pump relay.
  2. Repairing or replacing loose or broken wiring or connectors.
  3. Replacing the fuel pump wiring harness.
  4. Replacing a defective fuel pump.
P0628 OBD-II Trouble Code: Fuel Pump “A” Control Circuit Low

The U0077-00 is defined as the Control Module Communication Chassis Expansion CAN Bus Off Code, which is related to communication problems of the data bus systems. It's typically addressed by checking the vehicle's battery, electrical system voltage, and various system component

With all of those codes:
How old is your Battery?
These Trucks will do weird things with Codes when it comes to a Low Power for a Battery

You described the Voltage changing from 12V to 14V.
These Trucks have a Smart Charging System
So the Voltage will vary Depending on the Trucks Electrical Needs, Battery Condition, Engine RPMs, Etc
