Nice, you are the 2nd one I've seen that mounted it on top of the battery. Did you ground it to the battery or the body ?
I rather hide mine a bit.
I plan to mount mine to the bracket just beside the battery, on the Noco 2D, the power plug and battery wires come out from each end.
2 zip ties and it will done. (when I get the energy)
I also made up a short extension, so I can sneak the extension plug out by my push bar. I don't want to open the hood.

Well all the parts came in for the needed repairs, so the truck will be dropped off at the dealership in 2 days to get fixed. They'll put me in a loaner for a couple of days that it's expected to take to fix.

I wanted to get my Noco Genius Gen5 battery charger hooked up to the truck in a more permanent fashion, so this is what I came up with. The Gen5 charger physically isn't that big, but it took me a bit to figure out where I wanted to mount it. I figured right on top of the battery hold down strap was as good a place as any. So I removed it, marked where I wanted the holes, and chucked it up in my drill press to drill it.

Next I attached the positive and negative leads to the truck.

I didn't want to cut anything, so the excess wires will be bundled together later. Next I mounted the charger to the strap w/ a couple of 12-24 x 3/4" SS screws, washers, and nuts.

Zip-tied all the wiring up, stuffed the excess wiring down in the cavities around the fuse box, and viola! My on-board 5amp charger is mounted.

I used the grounding point for jump starting to ground the charger. The top half of that stud will come off, and a couple of washers for the negative lead and it works great.

I thought so, but wasn't sure it was for something else.
FYI when reading the reviews for the Noco chargers, there were some complaints about the plugs coming out of the charger itself being a weak point due to flex and how they reinforced the last 2" with electrical tape. Don't know how valid the concern was.

I haven't noticed that issue w/ any of my NOCO chargers, but I will keep an eye on it. Thanks.

Got my truck back from the dealer yesterday, all fixed. Phone charging pad works, fuel door opens as it should, and roof supports are in and the top is much more solid now. Didn't realize they had to pull the windshield as well as drop the headliner to install the roof supports. All fixed, all working as it should now. :)

Never heard that either, guess that its fixed is what counts

Guessing since they are installing the roof support
They can't just tilt the tit the liner to the back or the front to do the work like when they put on Stiffener Patches (Sound Deadener)

I glanced at the instructions for the stiffeners when it came out, don't remember mention of windshield removal. But since I have a sunroof, I didn't really pay attention

The TSB actually says not to remove the Headliner from the Vehicle

Looks like the Dealer just did it that way to try to make it easier
Guess the Dealership going to eat the cost of the Windshield Removal and Reinstall

The dealer subs out the windshield work, and I was kinda surprised they did pull it, but whatever works.

I also had a dent in the roof, and the dealership brought in a PDR company and had it removed without me even asking about it. So kudos to them. Made me a happy customer.
Well removing the dent is part of the TSB
"Once the roof is repaired of all damage, complete the following procedure to install stiffening patches to the underside of the roof panel."
