International S10 Face Swap?

So it seems that every other market except for North America still has the 2nd gen platform being sold as the S10. I got looking at these and really liked the current S10 facelift. It looks more like the 3rd gens I see running around. (I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous of) But it got me thinking, "What if somebody put this fascia on a North American Colorado? Has anybody done it? Is there any documentation of the process? Is it possible to ship the parts to the US?"
I don't mind the way the 2nd gen Colorado looks, but it kind of reminds me of an equinox or traverse lol. The 3rd gens look way more sharp but I'm addicted to my Duramax.

The new Colorado also looks like a traverse... GM spends a lot of time making sure the styling cues all share a family resemblance. Obviously they're not exactly the same but we have them parked next to each other at work and you'd be hard pressed to say they weren't going after the same feel.

As far as the swap... I thought the chassis on the s10 was updated... I am unsure on the global trucks if it would just be a bolt and go. You'd need a lot of service information to confirm.

The 2nd Gen US and 3rd Gen (US or International) do not share any front structure or frame
There would most likely need to be lots of Modifications

It was funny to me how many times while camping with our Airstream folks thought my GMC Canyon was a Sierra. They do use styling cues from the Sierra on the Canyon for sure.

Kind of the opposite now with the size of the 2500 series some folks think my 2006 2500 is a 1500.

Well GMC did make the Canyon look like the Sierra:

Just looking at those two photos you are replacing literally ALL the sheet metal up front. Front bumpers, grill, front fenders, hood. And that's assuming there aren't changes to the mounting locations (which is rather likely). Shipping those large pieces internationally, and then adding paint costs, you might as well just buy a 3rd gen.

If the hood wasn't totally different, you might have been able to get away with just replacing the front facia.

Since the new “S10” is still on the same platform as the second gen you may be able to swap it right over without too many roadblocks. I don’t see that being worth the time or money unless you were absolutely bored out of your mind and had an obsession with that look lol, then by all means. But I could think of so many other upgrades to the truck that would be a much better use of time/money than something cosmetic like that.
