Hi Everone,
I just replaced my 2018 LT Crew Cab model with a 2021 Z71 model. I used an AFM disabler on my 2018. The mfgr has already told me that it will not work on my 2021. Can anyone enlighten me on what I need to do to eliminate AFM?

It is the same Engine
Most Likely it is the Eliminator not updating their information
But, the AFM in the LGZ is not like the AFM in the V8s
Not known for any issues

owns 2017 Chevrolet Colorado Z71

The 2021 and 2022 Colorado 3.6L have a locked ECM that can't be bypassed with software.
I know that was true in 2022 but maybe someone's figured a way around it without opening the ECM.
I'd go to the HP Tuner website (or your favorite tuner company) and email them for a solution.

Tuning for the 21 and 22 v6 has been around for awhile now.

No reason to eliminate the AFM on the v6's. It hardly ever comes on and isn't designed the same as the GM v8's that are so problematic. Have had my 22 Canyon since January and it hasn't come on once. My 2016 Colorado I had for 2 years only saw it come on a few times when going down a steep hill with the AC off. Never could get it to actually come on.

Just drive the V6 the way it is. Not going to hurt it leaving the AFM the way it is.
