For all of you looking for LED headlights for you GMC Canyon or Chevy Colorado look no further than Auxito LED bulbs

I was unhappy as most are with OEM halogen headlights in my 2021 Canyon AT4.
I began researching all of the options and I found many confusing options, some very expensive and some that were so cheap I would be afraid to install them in my truck.

I also was not a huge fan of the external driver box, that comes with a lot of the options. I also was looking for something that would mirror the bulb filament location of the halogen bulbs for the best possible replacement bulbs for my Canyon.

I stumbled upon the Auxito bulbs and it started checking off all the boxes.

6500 lumens for a new bright white light

Compact design

No external driver box I would have to tick in the headlight housing

Built in fan to keep the unit cooler

4+ stars on most customer ratings

So I decided to give them a try. The difference in the halogen to these new LED bulbs is night and day (forgive the pun). It really makes you wonder why GM doesn't already include them in the newer trucks.

Took all of 30 minutes to install them, most of which was the passenger side lights that require removal of several rubber/plastic pieces to get to headlight housings.

Driving and Performance

HOLY BRIGHT!!!

I was concerned that as bright as they are, and the height of my truck, I would be getting flashed by oncoming drivers. This has proved not to be the case. I am guessing because the filament location matches the original halogen so well that although I am seeing much further down the road I am not impacting oncoming drivers.

The light pattern is fantastic, and couldn't be happier. Not only am I able to see further, but also wider. This is a bonus as I am able to see deer on the sides that I didn't see before.

I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade from the factory halogen bulbs you will not be disappointed.

I have the Auxito Y13 LEDs that do have the external driver. The driver block actually fit easily into and behind the dust covers.
My thoughts are, the driver is then separate from the bulb and exposed to less heat. A compact design is nice, but I thought giving more area for heat removal on electronics is a better way to go.
Very nice LEDs.

H11 low beams and 9005 high beams.

I couldn't be more pleased.
Those were the ones I was looking at vs the Y13's. So far the Y13's are working well, but it would have been a little easier to install without having to tuck the driver in. It wasn't terrible, though.

If they are so great, why do they only have a 2 year warranty? I recently had a bulb seller offer me a free set of bulbs. I turned them down. My experience with LED's has been very bad. Bulbs that are supposed to last for 50,000 hours aren't making it to 2,000. Yes, they are bright - sometimes brighter than legally allowed (as appears to be the case with yours as they appear to exceed the allowable wattage by 15 watts per bulb). But until someone designs a bulb and housing that will ensure LED's get their advertised longevity, I consider them a stopgap measure at best since they have to be replaced every 18 to 30 months. Feel free to come back in 3 years and let us know how they held up or if other drivers are flashing their lights at you because yours are too bright.

An LED’s lifespan has everything to do with how it is used.
The area, application, current, temperature, frequency of use, and even the way in which an LED light is used can affect the lifespan of the bulb, so while manufacturers will often provide an estimated life on the packaging, this shouldn’t be taken as the exact measurement.

The reality is that the lifespan of an LED light will typically fall within a range of about 6 to 10 years. For instance, an LED light could last 10 years, but it may only last for 8 if it’s frequently used outdoors in extremely hot temperatures, or it may last 12 years if the light is kept in a room-temperature location and rarely ever used. However, it should also be noted that even if an LED light does reach the manufacturer-indicated lifespan, the light will experience luminous decay, which reduces the light output of the LED over time.

Stock halogens never produced much light and at night we couldn’t see anything with them on.

Install LED bulbs to keep the beam pattern at to stay at 3 & 9 o clock positions, it gives that nice crisp line as the photo so do not concerned about blinding oncoming traffic due to the lumen output. While still bright to oncoming drivers and producing much more visibility to you, they won’t be blinding anyone.

NHTSA is making GM recall the I thinkk Terrains for led's that are to bright, blinding people, see if I can find that..

General Motors will be forced to recall approximately 727,000 GMC Terrain SUVs over a headlight issue after its bid to overturn the recall was denied.

It was back in 2019 when the car manufacturer petitioned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in an attempt to squash the recall of Terrain models with headlight beams that were too bright and could cause glare for oncoming drivers. General Motors claimed that the issue did not impact safety.

General Motors had claimed that its headlights met recognized industry standards and that it had only received one complaint from a customer about the lights shining up into trees. However, the NHTSA states that the headlight beam was three times brighter than allowed, AP reports.

Update- just had my passenger side low beam malfunction this morning. I thought maybe it had just jostled loose somehow as it still appeared to have light coming out of the headlight but it wasn't straight out so I thought maybe it was just off kilter. I swapped it into the drivers side and no luck, the drivers side worked fine in the passenger side. So, back to the stock lows for now. I will say, even driving with only 1 auxito low beam is still brighter than using the 2 stock lights.
