All I know is text messages give me a voice reading if I except when I get one on my 2019 Colorado crew cab and I just have a simple flip phone in my pocket. Sure you don't have a setting that's not turned on on your phone or informant screen.

Yeah they dropped the ball on the size of the wireless charging station. If I take my S9 out of the case it fits but not going to be doing that all the time. Not sure if it would charge anyhow through the case?

Depends on the case material, we haven’t had any issues with wireless charging while having a case on.

The latest marketing trends like Seo and social media are high in demand, while other methods like sms and email marketing are losing their value. But a number of businesses are still using text messaging apps to manage their official sms. I’m doing the same, as I’ve also started using a messaging app which helps me efficiently sort all my business sms.

One workaround I use with my iPhone XR in my '19 Colorado is that when your phone gets a text, if you hold down the voice command button on the steering wheel, it activates Siri through the truck's bluetooth system, and you can tell her "read me my messages", and she will. The only catch is that you have to enable message previews on the phone's lock screen, otherwise she'll tell you "for that, you'll need to unlock your phone".

Poster above says text messages are working on their 2019, perhaps the in-radio setting is missing because it's just always on. Did you check the settings for the BT device on your phone to ensure that sending notifications is enabled? This is something I had to do, it was not enabled by default.

Thanks I lost mine with the new phone and this fixed the issue.

I went from a 2018 to a 2019, and there is no longer an embedded app in the infotainment systems for text messaging. I concurred this with the infotainment library within GM. It seems GM decided to focus on other features when most users are using Android Auto and/or Apple CarPlay. What others have found is using using your phone's BT feature for messaging.

I do miss this feature to, as well as missing Pandora as a downloadable app. It basically forces me to use Apple CarPlay for these features, then why do they still offer navigation?

Built-in nav works when there's no data service or signal, Apple Maps does not. Google Maps does, but you have to plan ahead and download the offline maps for where you're going.

So, built-in nav can be a life saver if you're in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal and need a route out.

Ive got a 19, and can not figure it out or make it work....I dont even want it to read them to, id just like a notification that i got a text. I usually leave my phone in my pocket, and for some reason when it connects to the truck it kills the volume so i can never here it beep.

With the upper trim 2019's, you get told your radio is not compatible with the Sirius traffic and you need to use the GM connected services, which is AT&T 4g. At least with Sirius it is satellite and only cost $9 per month vs the GM $39 per month.

The wife's new 2019 Terrain Denali with Bose and Nav does has the same radio as the 2019 Canyon Denali according to GM the Dealer. No Text app, no Sirius traffic - for those that say to use Apple or whatever, yes I know it can be done, but it sure is nice when you are driving local and don't need a map or have Nav up, you can still get traffic alerts.
