I'm getting these installed today at BB GeekSquad. I'm good friends with the installer so he's letting me stay here during the install. If anyone wants any specific install photos, let me know now so I can snap them as we go.
I hope he's a really good friend, and he knows what he's doing. My experience with the "Geek Squad" left me wondering when they started taking McDonald's rejects.

I had a good experience at the local B.B. here too. On a very, very time consuming difficult install.
Not everyone at B.B. is a hack.

Any update on this? When I decide to do something I keep going between "cheap and easier" with a kicker key, and "way more expensive and harder" with the audio control d-4.800.

It seems like it would be a great option if you didn't want your rear speakers doing anything, by running the key in bi-amp mode for the front doors and dash speakers and having it faded all the way forward.

I used the key in my 2017 Colly bi-amped the front door and dash speakers with the Key and used rear from head unit to power the rear speakers.

Would you do it again? How does it sound? Did you change speakers and if so, to what? Also, how do your chimes sound? Pictures of installed/ placement?

Also, do you have a sub and if so, did you just run a separate line out for that or did you do a line out for all of it?

Used Kicker CSC 3.5 inch in dash and CSC 6x9 in front doors and 6.5 inch in rear doors. SOUND is amazing. Wma encoded files makes this thing sing, no sub yet but I may use a subthump rear seat sub box in the near future. Sorry no pics because everything is behind dash , when the weather turns warmer up here in the Geat White North ill take some pics of the install, I would now but the plastic parts of the dash are really brittle when cold and I don't wana chance it right now.Cheers Steve

I'm looking at the Kicker Key, too. Does it amplify the door chimes?
