Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 at Vegas to Reno

Here's a short write-up about Hall Racing's ZR2 that will be running in the Best in the Desert’s General Tire “Vegas to Reno” race. Would be nice if this effort led to some increased support of aftermarket parts for the ZR2!

It'll be interesting to see how they do. I'm really liking the round KC lightbar on that beast.

It looks like they enlarged the rear of the front wheel openings.

They do, with the extended cab.

Probably modified the valving to handle increased weight/different spring rates and beefed up the mounting locations. I spoke with Multimatic engineers at a Chevy event and they told me these shocks are not heat sensitive like a deflected disk shock(Fox, King, Etc), will definitely be interesting to see how it does.

I saw the story when Hall took delivery and the truck looks a lot better now. Hall Racing used to run Hummers in this race. They have decades of experience, so if anyone can push this truck to the limit, it's these guys.

Well, if GM decides to makes some, I'll go stand in line for them. These shocks in a longer travel setup would be killer.

Also wouldn't mind scoring some of those DSSV decals!

Really hoping these parts hit the market by next year. I'd love to see GM move the rear shocks to the outside of the frame like the raptor, there's room on the ZR2, but they didn't on this hall truck.
