ZR2 ARB bumper

Hi all, first post.

I did some searching and I noticed there are maybe two guys who have installed ARB bumpers on their ZR2s. ARB’s official line is that it doesn’t fit and don’t do it because of the weight on the DSSV shocks.

My questions are how much modification is required to get it to fit, are there any detrimental effects on the suspension that have been noticed? Peak suspension has a couple rates for their coil overs and eibach springs, would stepping up to a stiffer spring help?

Thanks in advance,

Oh and I like pics so if you have any ARB install pics post em up!

Here’s a pic of my virgin ZR2

That doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Sure, adding a new bumper changes the weight in the front, but maybe 100-150 pounds, depending on if you're putting a winch on it as well.
Thats like saying, dont drive around with any fat people.
I know the shocks in the ZR2 are expensive but.....are they trying to suggest that carrying 2 bags of rock salt in the back will ruin the back shocks as well?????
