Interesting, thanks.
Yes the Testers paint is a good path.

I have used it to touch up wheels and even dash scuffs.

Most hobby shops have a good selection and you can mix to match colors. Just takes a good eye to match the colors in small amounts in a paper cup.
Yes . .. Testors paint . . . works well for some touch up dings. Be aware it is an enamel and not to apply too much at a time and let dry thoroughly. Two thin applications in a chip or ding is better than trying to fill all at once. However, many times one "fill" in a ding or chip is enough and then top coat with clear since the Testors enamel has relatively good coverage and best to have some depth left in the ding to fill and have room for clear coat. It depends a lot on color, surface and other factors. Best to try applying to a test surface first with a tooth pick or small paint stick to estimate how much or little is needed.

Note too that Testors paint is a craft and model paint and not really suitable for spraying large areas and expect to hold up to weather. It is not really suitable for changing the color of larger painted wheel areas.

Testors Paint is available in single small jars or in various kits for those who aren't familiar - - - ;)
