Looks awesome! What brand did you go with? How much is that on the front windows?
I have used the same guy for years and his film holds up so well. I have never asked him. It was $200 for everything including the clear ceramic on the front which is worth every penny as it stops all the heat from beating on you through the windshieldLooks awesome! Yep I went with 20 on the front too. What a difference not feeling the hot sun on my arm now. Plus the ac cools quicker.Looks great! Just had the same thing done to the Boss last Friday. Fronts matched with the rears. The fronts metered 20 after the tint and the rears metered at 19.7
Funny you asked that.Love it. I owned my 19 for about 8 hours before it had tint on it. I didn't do the full ceramic on the windshield but I dropped the stripe down pretty low.
Any problems with the toll transponder on the windshield with ceramic? Mine stopped working if it was behind it.
That seems like a very good price. I had my Camaro done with the clear ceramic film on the windshield and along with tinted ceramic film on the windows everywhere else, and it really seems to make a difference in heat rejection. My guy has the templates for the tint but he's waiting for the PPF templates to become available.I have used the same guy for years and his film holds up so well. I have never asked him. I use the suction cup one as that seems stronger and never had an issueLove it. I owned my 19 for about 8 hours before it had tint on it. I didn't do the full ceramic on the windshield but I dropped the stripe down pretty low.

Installer was busy then out of town a few days. I know it wasn’t long but the heat I could feel coming through the windows was crazy after always having a vehicle with the tint and the ceramic on the windshield so it’s more a satisfying relief than anything"Finally" ? what was the delay? tint shortage? installer real busy? Short on money? Working too many hours?
Looks good.
Yea they use the same things on buildings too. I'm curious the level or protection it provides though. What is Solar absorbing windshield, I took that as a ceramic coated UV windshield.

Yes 2" and I love the look, and for all the people that are concerned, the dealership loved them too and didn't have an issue with it as you are not changing any suspension geometry by doing thisLooks great!
Are you running spacers?
I have the hard transponder but even that had issues. I ended up moving it under the stripe and all was well. I've only just started seeing the stick on patches around here.Funny you asked that.
The window sticker version's (not the suction cup version) range will be cut down severely if it's not mounted directly on the glass. I installed the FL "SunPass" readers which are made by Transcore corp. in my city for opening automated gates and tied them to the access control system. What I found is on the PD Motorcycles I could not get the reader to read the window sticker version when mounted to the motor windshield (it is obviously not glass). I had to get the suction cup version remove the headlight and mount it up inside the faring on all of the bikes.
I called the manufacturer prior and they said the sticker uses the windshield and an antenna and it must be mounted directly on the glass. In my head I'm saying YEA RIGHT the GLASS (which is an insulator) is acting as an antenna. So I went to Home Depot and bought a piece of plate glass and a piece plexi glass and mounted a sticker on each. Well to my surprise I can be 100' + away from the reader with the glass mounted sticker and it will read all day long. The plexi glass one I have to rub the sticker on the face of the reader about 10 different directions and eventually it would read it. On a side note under the same test the suction cup version has easily 4 times the read range then the stickers.
Suggestion, get the suction cup version if it's available in your state and it will solve the range issue. The only other option is to cut out the film where you can mount the sticker directly on the glass.
The windshield UV tint is a must down here.....
