GM documents call it a Toll Card Holder

As it has been stated many times before .....

According to GM it is a Toll Card Holder, here is a picture, Note: no wires or connectors behind it ........

Let the speculation continue ......

Funny, with all the threads I have seen people losing it over having a coin holder, this card holder seems so much more....."2015-ish" in technology. I would be using a toll, gas, credit, business card holder way more than a coin holders. Since parking meters take cards now.

I am sure it didn't cost me $100 bucks for the add on, and the space would go to waste anyway, it seems like as good as any gadget.

The only sad part is that when ever someone new comes to the forum and ask this same question they will no doubt be greeted with a either "do a search it's been discussed before" or worst yet a link to this thread where they will have to sift through 5 pages before finding hal_armour's post.....lol

Anyone know what the slot on the dash is, just left of the steering wheel. Looks like you could stick a toll ticket or parking deck ticket in there. Found no information or explanation in the manual...

It is a hidden GM bank for you to put folding money in to pay to get your truck fixed after the warranty runs out.

It's really a skimmer. Reads your credit cards and sends the info to OnStar, Sirius, GM, and AT&T just in case your subscriptions run out.

2016 Canyon 4dr crew SLT 4wd

Just above the 4wd select switch is an area of smooth plastic as opposed to the textured vinyl the rest of the area is.In this smooth area is a slot,it looks like a credit card could be inserted into it...I haven't tried that.Does anyone know what it is????
