What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

I don't know if there's already a thread for this, but it's usually a pretty interesting thread on the other forums that I frequent. What did you do to your Colorado or Canyon today?

Update. Took around 10 minutes only removing a corner piece and squeezing my hand in there

Then my dumbass dropped my little custom trim tab removal tool down in there and it took me 20 minutes looking for my Harbor freight magnet grabber and I realized my brother has it. I found a spot under bleary I was able to reach in and grab it.

Bigger day for my truck today...finally a warm enough day to borrow an unheated garage. Got my shield in the back window, black wrapped the front bowtie, put in the glove box organizer and did the front air dam delete. Just wish I had brought my ratchet...the '22 air dam uses ~7mm bolts, not the T15 screws of other years...brought the screwdriver and ended up having to use a box wrench.

Went backcountry skiing last week and arrived to base camp at 10,600 ft after dark and proceeded to back into a drainage swale covered in 3 ft of snow. . . popped the tent and waited for daylight to winch out. I don't typically add a lot of lights to any of my rigs but when I got home I ordered some Diode Dynamic SS3 pod lights and an Aux Beam switch to hopefully give me better illumination when backing. I installed them today after church in the AEV Bison bumper factory spots along with an AEV transmission skid plate I've had laying around since last Fall.

Been almost two years since my girl's last buff, so she got a lil treatment. Just a once over with an orange pad and Meguiars Ultimate Compound, to knock off the oxidization and other junk. Then I hit her with a couple coats of the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic spray. She's back to a solid 10 footer. She might have some swirls, but whatever. The PNW looks like it's gonna be raining off and on the whole time I'm there, so you can't see swirls if there ain't no sun. 😂 I'm sure the paint will be back to trashed shortly after this trip. To give you an idea, it looks like there is white-ish splatter from driving through a small puddle. They are rock chips. All. Over. The. Truck. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Almost ready to take my trip. Packed the truck. Just need to refill propane, top off water, transfer a couple thing from the fridge and pack my clothes, which I'll do tomorrow. Gonna leave Monday morning after I walk the pup. Try to hit Boise that evening (~10 hours). Then I'll have two full days and an early morning to get to Bellingham (~9.5 hours). Might even stop at our Seattle office to have lunch or dinner with some of the crew. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just gotta see what I end up doing. I know there are some hidden gems along the way, so I wanna do at least a hike or two and maybe some fishing.

Made it to Boise in just about 11 hours. Not a bad drive. Stopped a fair amount of times to let the dog out. Decent landscapes here and there, that pics don't do justice. Lil rain and also went through a small but intense blizzard. Windy as heck between Twin Falls and Boise. Was stuck in 7th gear nearly the entire time.

Anyway, here's a couple random pics. Decided I'll stop in Yakima, tomorrow. Which is about 6 hours out, leaving me some time to adventure around here and along the way.

On your way home turn at pendelton and down thru john day to burns ,oregon. Turn left at burns ( hwy 71) and stay at crystal crane hotspring. From crystal crane keep going east and turn on road 201 down thru the alvord desert to denio and the down to Winnemucca. Nicer drive than down thru boise but will take longer.

I designed, printed and installed a set of 3D printed stake pocket vents. Decided that solid plugs might actually promote moisture retention in that area and all I really wanted to do was keep the leaf and debris out. Removable in about 5 seconds without having to pry them out. Vents printed in ASA so they should last.

My copilot is lucky I have to stop more often than he needs to - but of course when we stop, he wants out whether he 'needs' to or not. ;)

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm not planning to come this way on my way back, but I'll keep it in mind just in case.
Took it to School and then Back home and measured to see if I could fit a 12” sub (ehh right now), then Took off the radio bezel and took out the radio and buttoned up my harness, then I took my door panels off and measured the depth for the aftermarket speakers, also tried to figure out how to use the factory speaker mounts, then left it in the driveway on E 😢

Well, non-update-update on the weird check engine light. We had an appointment with Chevy Monday at 8:30am that my husband decided wasn't worth going to since the problem hadn't come back yet and we were unable to force it to come back again. I wasn't a fan of that thought process since we have warranty but I let it go...low and behold, yesterday evening, backing into a parking space up an incline, it came back...so I got to give a little "I told you so" lol. It needs an oil change anyways so off it goes for real this time.

For some good news, bed rack should come in today! Now let's see if we'll have the truck to put it on :cautious:

Installed my Corsa DB exhaust last weekend, finally received the correct exhaust tip. This mod was easiest I have done out of all the other things listed in my signature. An easy removal and replacement.

WD-40 works great for grommets and easy removal of old exhaust and install of new one.

Before and After, man I forgot just how much of a difference window tint makes. It stays so much cooler inside, even with the windows up. I've had her for right at 2 months and finally hit 800 miles. 🤣 It's nice having a company vehicle but I want to put some more miles on her when I'm off.
