What did you do to your Colorado/Canyon today?

I don't know if there's already a thread for this, but it's usually a pretty interesting thread on the other forums that I frequent. What did you do to your Colorado or Canyon today?

Installed WeatherTech mud flaps on my ZR2 today. Took about 5 minutes to do all 4. Should of installed these 10K miles ago. No more dirty door handles.

Do you mind posting some more pics? I'd like to see how they look on the truck from a few different angles. I might be interested in picking up a set of these.

Went to fuel up and it made me want to eat a .45. Ive had it with this goddamn state, and this particular urban hell hole within this shïtsmear of a state. It now costs more to drive my 2018 V6 truck when I barely drive that much then it did when I was driving around a 2001 5.3 V8 commuting to class and work and back all day every day.

Let's go Brandon.

Too bad someone removed the "I did that!" sticker, with Brandon proudly pointing to the price!

Just got a cheaper set off Amazon. Did you find the fit quite tight?
They fit pretty snug. I've not tried to remove them. After setting them in place, I gave them a few fist pounds to seat them. They're definitely not coming out easily from daily driving.

New wheels and tires to go with my recent lift. Made a night and day difference.

2017 Colorado Z71
17”x8.5” Method Grid Wheels
265/70R17 Goodyear Duratracs

RC 2” lifted struts in the front
1” Blocks n the rear(previously was 2”)
RC 1.25” Body Lift

Total lift: 3.25” front, 2.25” rear
Fender Heights
Front: 39”
Rear: 39.5”

Also I added some homemade gap guards to the front fender wells.

2mm rubber matting from Home Depot
Cut to fit by trial and error using poster board

Time will tell how well they hold up.

Looks great! What fasteners did you use? Really, it's a nice job!
I'm on a roll this week. AVS AeroSkin II is on. Covered 5 of the 6 paint chips so I trust the design enough that it will protect. Now I'm on to the rear mudflaps and tomorrow my Magnaflow Overland exhaust should be here so I'll do that Saturday while it's snowing.

Edit:
And done with the rear flaps. Hopefully this keeps ice off my handles and fuel door now. At least the constant sling of slush becoming ice.

Looks great! I'm anxious to see how the hood deflector works out for you. I might have to look at one. What brand mud flaps are those? Do you have them up front too?

I went and had some fun in the field out back this morning. About 2" of wet snow. 2wd with rear locked for added smiles.

Looks like lots of fun! Maybe I’ll try that today in my neighbor’s yard, haha! (Kidding of course.)

Put carhartt seat covers on yesterday. Took advantage of the 25% discount over the holiday. Brown in color. They match my softopper alright and kind of tie my color scheme together with the Cajun red. I dig em. Pretty good fitment and easy install. I like that if they get real nasty they are an easy wash as well. I'll take photo sometime to share...

I’d love to see pics as well. They look really nice. Are they machine washable? I’d like to find some nice, machine washable covers for my back seat of my crew cab.
Quick little mod today; Craven Speed Stubby Jr. antenna. Install is less than 2 minutes. I’ve noticed no change in reception to any signals, FM, AM, or XM. I just think it looks better than the stock antenna.

I put some 303 Protectant on the rubber weather stripping and exterior of my tonneau cover. It looks brand new. I think I’ll put some on the plastic bed rails tomorrow.

For weatherstripping you should get some Gummi Pflege Stift

nextzett 91480615 'Gummi Pflege Stift' Rubber Care Stick - 3.4 fl. oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004B8GTQG/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_BQMAP2DAVBHBEZ5HJSBJ

I used that on a 95 3000GT Spyder hardtop convertible for all the seals that were compressed and leaking and within a couple weeks they were sealing up. It keeps them supple and clean. Amazing stuff hence the price. I use it on everything now. Turns out $12 was less than the $1700 in seals for that car

Thx! I’ll definitely look into it. I used the 303 since that’s what Undercover recommended. They said they like the 303 because it’s not silicone based.
Photos please. Was just looking at that bed rail and wondering what I should use.
Will do. I'll get some tomorrow.

I didn’t get the photos, and now my ZR2 is covered in ice and snow. I’ll try again later when the weather clears.

Were you happy with it? Did it make it look black? Or just shiny again?
I hear great things about the product but never used it.
Yes on both accounts. It shines as well as makes it look darker. It could’ve also been that the rails and cover were a bit dusty too, so they seemed darker after wiping them down. I got it simply to protect the rubber weatherstripping on the cover. It’s what Undercover recommends.

Nice job! Did you buy the ones that were for sale on the forum? If so, that was a screaming deal.
Major mod today: new tray in the center console. When I mod, I go big! 😂
