Best roll bar I have ever had or seen was on my 97 dakota that came factory, set on top of the bed, and the back bar curled down and back and acted as the bed rails also.
I can't say how many things I ties to the bars over the years I had it.
I have seen some used factory colorado bars on ebay, if I was getting another I would build like what came factory on my 97 dakota, think it was on 97 option only.
But i have seen some aftermarket bars mimic.
