Spotted this today about 10 miles north of the Wentzville assembly plant on Hwy. 61. It got off at Troy where I live, but I lost it in traffic. I'll keep my eyes open for it and any others in the area.

Think how much better that box would have fit in a long bed...
Yep . . . . . lose of the Extended Cab is so disappointing.

(( and for all the "they don't sell" remarks to follow . . . I see one nearly every time I am out and about . . . . ))

Who the f*** thought it was a good idea to put the colorado badge that high on the door? I can't believe I only just noticed that...

At least it's a real world test for about all the majority will ever get used for... Picking up a TV at wally world.

Putting the badges so High Up seems to be the thing they are doing now.
Look where they put the Z71 badge on the Silverado:

It’s been like that for years with other Chevrolet models. Blazer, Traverse. I kinda like it but the first time I noticed it I thought it was odd too.

Nice clearance on that vehicle, my phone doesn't do great expanding pictures but I was trying to figure out why I can't see the spare tire - appears they did something different with it, maybe tucked up higher or maybe it's a nerd wheel.

Not saying the tire isn't removed on this one, but it might not be. The spare is tucked up nice and flat on the 3rd gen now, compared to the 2nd gen where it hangs down low and at an angle. It's much cleaner looking now.

Regarding the high-mount emblems, they're purely cosmetic. I suspect most people won't even notice after the trucks have been out for a while, but if it's an issue for someone some fishing line and Goo Gone will quickly remedy things.

As for hauling, the driver in my photos should've just dropped the tailgate, centered up the box and ran another tie-down strap around the back to keep it from sliding out. That's what I did with my '18 CCSB a couple weeks ago with zero problems for the 26 miles from Best Buy to home with a new 75" TV. The way that person had it ran a higher risk of damaging their TV.

There is indeed a spare tire on this truck. Look close in the photo with the Chevy dealer in the background. You can see a bit of tread and wheel highlighted by the sun, about midway between the left rear ture and the trailer hitch. It does seem to be tucked up a little higher than on the 2nd gen trucks.

Personally, I'm pretty excited for these new trucks, particularly the Z71. Will it be perfect? No, certainly not, no vehicle is (that's why there's an aftermarket!), but the '23s will be quite an upgrade over the 2nd gens!

I drove by Wentzville Assembly today, and spotted 4 Gen3s. I pulled in and got a close look at them. The Colorados are both LTs, the blue one has the optional wheels (same as standard Z71 wheels). The gray Canyon is an AT4, the red one a Denali. You can really see how much wider the Canyons are in the group photo (compare the Denali to the blue LT at the beds)! Note how the Denali is roughly the same height as the LTs.

Size-wise they really are about the same as the Gen2s, but have a much crisper design that helps them seem bigger. What I could see of the interiors appears to be a nice upgrade. The seats do seem to have a better contour to the bolsters and seat backs. Hopefully they are more comfortable than the current buckets.

Both Canyons had sunroofs, but the shades were closed so it was difficult to judge their size. However, if you have headroom issues it looks like you'd gain perhaps 1" with the sunroof.

My dealer, Fusz Chevrolet, has a Z71 ordered for dealer stock that has been picked up so hopefully it shows up in the next few weeks - I want to see the interior in-depth now!
