It is often difficult to remove small light bulbs using bare fingers. The oil on your fingers prevents getting a good grip.

Wearing clean rubber gloves improves your grip significantly and you can remove the stubborn bulbs with ease.

Or a scrap piece of rubber gas line or other hose. Slip it over the bulb and pull it right out of those cramped little light housings. About 3/8: ID works well. I keep one in my electrical tool box.

I have changed to LED's on all Bulbs on my 2017 Colorado Z71 that does not require Load Resistors.
I just pulled out with my fingers, not going back in anyway, went in the Trash.

I did the same for a year and a half, everything easy to change was changed right when I got it. Over the weekend I went ahead and put switchbacks in the front with load resistors and it was very much so worth it.
