Anybody ever remove the useless factory rear mud flaps that sit at the front of that wheel well? I know there’s 2 screws but also a clip. Just wanting to know if others have done it

I have see a fe torn off the full size trucks.

never noticed anyone taking them off on purpose.

They are deflectors for the air to the rear tires. Yes for mpg as tires do carry a lot of aero drag. Not sure you could measure the difference but they do help in epa testing.

Yes, when they sprayed bedliner on bottom sides of my truck and...they're back on. IMO - don't really notice & if anything they're another layer of rock chip protection, or something.

I am wanting to remove them so I can get my rocky road rock sliders to fit with a little more room
