So you change you're oil and don't actually check the level after you're done? Or periodically between changes? I'm at 75k miles and I've never seen my oil level drop, but I could never trust it like that.

Im at 80,000km and Ive never checked it. so far so good. LMAO

If it wasn't exposed to such heat, and the fact it's in motor oil, I'd just paint it with a white paint or something.

But I might try that buffing it off suggestion, though.

So my engine oil dipstick is stained. It is hard enough to read alone but with it being stained it is harder to read the oil level. Does anyone know where I can buy a new one or how I can clean my current one?

Take a scotchbrite pad to it. Very easy fix.

Lots of 1st Gen guys have had the same issue and fixes range from scotchbrite to dremel tools with Flitz.

At the end of the day all the solutions are basically the same idea.
